Buddy thought I was trying to murder him or rip his entire wing off when I attempted to simply touch and hold his wing. Good grief! All I'm trying to do is get him used to having his feathered arm trimmed so he can't fly off or get injured. Man, he was very unhappy with me. LOL. Any suggestions?? We travel often and he has to go with us. So I'd rather he be safe and unable to escape strange places.

Start slow and be patient. Start with small touches and when he's comfortable with that, try moving the wing.

I wrap mine in a soft cloth to trim...
They don't like it but they are safer this way...
They do get use to it slowly...
Mind your fingers when they bite!!
