He is adorable! It is important that he has food that he is comfortable eating at all times. Parrotlets have VERY fast metabolisms, so he needs to eat more every day that you would think possible and cannot go long periods without food. When Tumi was young, he used to have to have a midnight snack of millet to make it through the night. Millet is a good thing, and important to offer to young birds or in stressful situations since it is quick energy for them.
Beautiful! And he is a male, for sure! He needs food, now! Keep a spray of millet hanging in his cage for now. The cage bars look really wide. How wide are they apart? If more than one half inch wide, this could be a problem. P'letts stick their heads through the bars if too spaced out and they can and will get injured or worse.
Perches should be varying widths and not all the same sizes. This helps a parrot's foot stay healthier, for sure.
I love his coloring! Great! Blow him a kiss kiss from me and Vicki!
