From my experience they do. Use "gentle beak" to help them figure it out but Rio, my newest was extremely bitey for about 3-4 months. Like you my hands can handle it, but Rio decided that my ears was his chew toy of choice to the point that my family got me ear muffs as protectors. Then just as suddenly one day he stopped. Sure I get bit now and then. He is a parrotlet after all, but it is not a constant thing and he is settling in. If he follows the trend of my previous parrotlets he will get better about biting as time goes by and we learn each other. Can anybody comment on if the babies grow out of the "eat everything in sight" phase? Currently experiencing this with my 8wk old Pascal. He's not a biter but will insist on trying to eat my palm, fingers, etc even if the food I'm hand feeding is clearly a green vegetable . My hands are quite calloused so I don't mind, just worried about if my guests experience this while feeding him treats. Thanks!
