foraging toys?

Penny is a forager, and I've been making her toys on the cheap with supplies from California Bird Nerds & Bonka Birds. One of her favorites is this french fry cup. I punctured a hole in the bottom and threaded a long skewer through it for hanging. I fill it with natural paper shreds, balsa sticks, sola buds or chips and paper straws I get from Natural Grocers. She loves dismantling it, chewing on the contents, and making a huge mess! You can hide treats in it too!

I have trained Pugsley things by filling milk carton caps with treats. So when outside his cage, for foraging, I place them in different areas so he has to fly around to find them. And I switch the places around to make it more fun for him.

You could make a foraging cargo net. My two cents worth:
