[Stewie'smum]

We were told by the lady we bought our parrotlet from was a boy, so we called him Stewie. But now on other face book sites I'm being told we've got a girl!
Please help

I'd suggest girl but the telltale signs for a male should be darker eye shadow and some Cobalt Blue feathers in the wings. This may only show underneath?
I had Harry DNA tested because there aviary said she was a boy and everyone else said girl. The aviary was indeed incorrect.

A low wing spread (with it open underneath) photo would be best to compare about.
Given that I am about 90+% sure you have a beautiful little girl. For that type of parrotlet the males have eye flairs and the blue that shows up on the underside of the forward part of the wing. It can usually be seen on the upper side of the wing. None of that is on this bird.

Hello and welcome to the forum! I love your little birdie. So cute! Great pics! Mine's does that with my hair! They think they're hairdressers or something! Both males and females can have blue eyeshadow and rump. Only males have blue flight feathers. My guess is female.

Definitely girl, from what the photo's show. And, Anya's correct! P'letts are hairdressers!
