How do you tell which one is male or female by looking at their feathers?8 week old parrolets are feathered. As soon as they have feathers, you can tell gender. There are some color mutations where you can't really tell gender at all, but feathered parrotlets can be gendered.
Thank you"White" or "blue" mutations can be challenging to figure out. The normal green parrotlet can be gendered once the feathers appear - blue on the wing edge means a boy, no blue is a girl. The yellows also are normally easier to figure out. Even on the blues, the wing edge on a boy I think is a darker blue than the rest of the bird. "White" parrotlets are the only ones I know of that you might need to DNA sex to know. But an 8 week old parrotlet is fully feathered, so if it is possible to determine by feather, it should be clear already. Tumi at 8 weeks old looked pretty much as he does now - I think he is a couple of grams bigger, but his feathers are the same overall look.
