Just a brief note----

As I looked on my TV cable listings on the TV set itself, I couldn't believe my eyes! Here's what I saw when I scrolled down the listings around 2 pm. ( This was expanded TV listings, not a movie channel or pay per view. I do not pay for extra movie channels).

The list::::
UNDERWORLD
TREMORS
LITTLE NICKY (about the Devils son)
PREDATORS
COP OUT
STALKED BY A REALITY STAR
CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER
A WALK AMONG THE TOMBSTONES
BORN TO KILL
HACKSAW RIDGE
OVERBOARD

Notice anything common about these SUNDAY movies? I did!

They are all about misery and death and depressing life and violence and......!
Nice Sunday afternoon, huh?

I went and played the piano. At least nobody got killed or blown up or shot or hacked to death or raped or....! Ricochet stayed on my shoulders the whole time!
YOU WONDER WHY KIDS TURN OUT TO BE VIOLENT?

David

Utter garbage. I watch the retro channels such as Cozi, Antenna TV, MeTv and BUZZR.

I cut the cord long ago. I have a Roku box and turn on or off streaming services as I wish. I want to watch what I want when I want without commercials. We hate commercials, stupid, loud, time wasting things.

Bryan will become famous soon enough

I just watch Netflix and YouTube on a Roku tv that's all I need. I have to agree with the commercials they are annoying and I don't want them. I also love being able to stop my movie and come back to it when I want.

I do think the price will inevitable go up on them but for now they are very economical. I think my dad pays $95 or something like that a month for basic Dish Network service and I pay $8.99 for Netflix.

I do not have cable either. I subscribe to Netflix and watch shows online at websites such as PBS.

Thumbs up

There is a lot of garbage on cable TV. We have it because it ties into our security system, modems or router, fire department and police department. My home phone is a land line with AT&T. We had to bundle.
We do not watch many movies due to the subject matter and language. I have about 400 movies at home with clean language, etc..
My wife and I like to go to a movie that is clean. Usually kids movies or animated movies. We just saw a musical movie called " Cats ", or something like that. Boy, was that a great movie, based on the original Broadway play called " Cats " ..... no bad stuff.

TV, and other media, has greatly influenced our culture for good and bad. Mostly bad, overall, when it comes to entertainment.
Thanks for the responses.

Dave

Oh you saw the movie CATS? The broadway musical is what inspired me to become a dancer. Having been biasedly in love with the musical because of the live audience immersion techniques, actual physical talent and live special effects, I was turned off by the fact that they took all natural special effects out of the movie and made them CGI aaand there were a few dances they could have had more dancing in. BUT that said, I did enjoy the movie for it's story and the actors were fun. Ian Mckellen of course was my favorite.

Nothing compares to Broadway! When the Phantom of the Opera played at Broadway, Vicki and I took my son to see it. It was amazing! The chandelier was above the audience and it swung right over our heads! It was huge!
