It is an alloy of copper and zink and could cause toxicity is what it said when I googled "Is brass bird safe". If you are already using it and Ricochet does not chew on it then I think it would be okay. I would probably replace it with something better when you can though. If it is on a toy you can buy bells from places that sell bird toy parts and just replace the bell on the toy.

I think that is what I am going to do with Pip's toys.

Thanks! I have read that it wasn't good for them and I have read that it was good for them. It is a natural diuretic.

I don't recommend hemp for the simple reason that it is grown with the most toxic insecticides and fertilizers than any edible crop. Wildlife is being killed by the tens of thousands and the fresh salmon are poisoned and the rivers and streams in the growing regions are polluted worse than the Yangtze. Seriously, this is California's dirty little secret.

They legalized it to make billions in taxes and they have lost billions on the crop because it is too costly for the growers to follow regulations...also, the drug cartels control thousands of acres of illegal grow sites. Hemp bad for birds
