Bogie was extraordinary!!! He was so special. It hurts so much to lose a pet like that. It’s losing your best friend. (No offense wifey)

Whenever I returned from a weekend trip Timmy would do three things in this order:

Cuss me out and beat the tar out of his toys
Bite me
Then cuddle against my neck.

He did that for years to express his displeasure at my being away.

Ricochet does things a lot like that. If I put him in his cage for an hour or so while I clean house, he flock calls me the whole time. When I let him out, he takes little bites on my hands and arms. If I try to scritch him, he will bite me (not hard).

They know more than we realize.

If I go out for more than a few hours, I get the turned back of displeasure. He just faces the back of his cage for a while. Then, because I open the door of the cage, he usually relents and comes out.
Amazing critters.

Turning their back on you is the ultimate ' snub '! It is like they are saying, " Leave me again? I'll show you! "

They are amazing!

Monty gets excited like a dog does when we come home from being out (unless it's night time and he's sleeping). He paces his cage and flock calls and gets excited!
When I get home from work and he is out with my partner, he will fly to greet me and give me kisses and get very excited to see me. It's very cute.

Monty is well socialized luckily so when i leave him with my parents he eats and plays fine, and he likes his grandma and grandpa a lot.
