Pet Insurance

Does anyone here have or have considered pet insurance for their birds? Iím thinking about it but I need more information before I decide.

I don't know that much about pet insurance for birds. Years ago, when I had three dogs, I looked into getting pet insurance for them. I just remember that the couple of insurance companies I talked to required you pay up front. You had to put in a claim to get refunded.

From what I understand, there is only one company that offers pet insurance for birds which is Nationwide. I have not had it personally. https://www.petinsurance.com/birds/

I just got Nationwide pet insurance for Perry. It's $20 a month and very comprehensive. You do have to pay the bill to the vet but then Nationwide reimburses up to 90%. I think it's worth it even if you take them once a year for a well check.
