Broken piece of beak?

After work tonight, I noticed something really weird with Mango's beak. It looks like he chipped off a long piece from top to bottom, in the center. It also looks like it bled, and then clotted, and he is left with what looks like a pretty thick scab. He is acting normally, and eating normally.
Should I be worried? What would it look like if it becomes infected? Do you think he chipped a piece off somehow, or is there something else that could look like this?

Thumbs up

It sounds like he got it caught on something. In the middle is not a good place. Look in his cage and try to find a place where he got his beak hooked on something. A trip to the vet may be in order. Keep an eye out on his beak.
