Exclamation ~~~How Do I Make A Copy Of My Personal and Sent Private Messages?

Youngster/Support staff,
What I Know----

I have been a member since 2013 and have made thousands of Threads and Posts. I know the forum only stores a few hundred. I know the forum only stores 100 Private Messages at a time and I can move the Private Messages to a folder.

What I Need To Know----
1). The Threads, Posts, and Private messages files only store so many...How do I make a copy of all these files stored so I can print them on paper? ( or am I stuck with a few hundred most recent?) .

2). I have made over 4,000 Threads and Posts. Is there a way to retrieve and store all of them so I can make copies?

This is in the utmost importance. ( I am writing a book about my parrotlet experiences ) . Thank you!

David

I don't know how to use this forum very well except for basic replies and messages. All I know is a very tedious method of selecting text from your posts by hand, right clicking it, selecting “copy“ and then opening a word document, right clicking the open space and selecting “paste“ to paste it.

I'm not sure that's something you would want to do four thousand times though. There's gotta be another way.

I also used the search bar on the left of the website in advanced search mode to look up every post made by you that mentions the name “Bogie“ or “Ricochet“ just to see if it would bring them up and it did. If there were more specific stories you wanted to find that you wrote about, you could search a keyword from those stories like “dinosaur“ or “dishwasher“ and that might help you narrow down the amount of posts you would have to go through.

Thumbs up

Thanks for the info. I know about ' pasting ' and you are correct about it being tedious. I may have to accept the fact that I have to go to advanced search. It will be a lot of work....

I know that Tech. services can eliminate all posts and threads for someone, so I just wondered if they can find a way to let me do a copy of all my things.

Maybe they will contact me.

Thanks.

Since you posted in the Tech Support section, one of the technical admins should respond when they have available time. They likely have access to advanced or administrative features in the forum software. We're just designated as users and do not have any access to those.
