Thumbs up

Hi !

The book is pretty much complete, except for the last chapter about Bogie's death. I have had to rewrite much of the book....Whew! The reason for this is the fact that I originally wrote the book, as a forum member suggested, with two or three books in mind, like a volume set.

So, every chapter was written with this in mind. The first book did not reveal many things that surrounded Bogie's life because I was saving some things for the second or even third book about the life and times of Bogie.

When he died way too early at age ten, I had a choice of not telling about his passing and leaving the first book as it was.... but I just couldn't do it this way. I had to admit that he was gone, once and for all. So, the rewrite! The book is about his whole life. And frankly, I hope to live long enough to see it published. I am on borrowed time...I am not supposed to be here, according to some doctors.

The biggest problem I have is whether to go E-book or hard/soft paperback. If it does well in sales, then paperback is the way to go as far as royalties are concerned. All proceeds go to animal charities after expenses. What I have written in the forum is a lot like what the book is all about. And, I am a member of the Arbor Day Foundation ( I love trees and trees make paper!) and I am a member of The Biblical Archaeology Review organization.

( When I pass, there will also be three books hopefully published posthumously that I wrote about different subjects) .

So...this year will see Bogie's book in print, somewhere. If I stay a member of this forum, you all will be the first to know when. If I should pass away, The book title will be either, " THEN ALONG CAME BOGIE " or " ALONG CAME BOGIE " or something with his name in the title. If you do not hear from me for a while, then Google these titles.

Dave

I hope that you live a “very” long time especially to see all of your books published. For years I’ve always wanted to write some fiction but I didn’t have a clue on how to start so I never persued it any further. I have some questions about writing if you don’t mind me asking?
