Exclamation ~~~~Another Musician In The Family!~~~~

Well! I decided to sit and play the piano today. I have a nice little Baldwin upright piano tucked away in the TV room. Since I brought Ricochet home last year to live with Vicki and I, I haven't hardly played a chord.

Bogie loved the sound of the piano, especially the octave right above Concert Bb (flat), known as ( middle C ) . As I played all around that key, I found out that Bogie's voice ( chirps) were in the key of D major. Every time I hit a D major chord, or an inverted chord of the Key of D, Bogie would fly to the piano and sing/chirp along!

Today was no different with Ricochet! I played the key and he flew to my wrist, but wasn't too sure about what to do. He cocked his head to the melody in D major and I started singing the words,

" Ric--oh--shay. Oh Ric--oh--shay! I love my little birdie Ric--oh--shay! " I played the D major down to G major up to A, then repeated it.

I have had two parrotlets in a row whose voice were in the key Of D. I had Bogie doing concert chirping when I played. He loved it when I played like Elton John. He liked " Tiny Dancer " and parts of " A Candle In The Wind ".

Ricochet can really belt out some chirping! He flew to the hanging light over the dining room table and sang for about 5 minutes. I looked over to him and he had his head stretched out and upwards and sang away!

I have to find which songs he likes and play them. My wife and I are going to get out our guitars and play some songs and see if Ricochet will sing with us.

I'll let you know.

David and Ricochet

Bryan will become famous soon enough

I used to play music videos and though Pip was liking them until I discovered he actually hated it and that was why he was squawking so much he wanted it to stop.

I know some birds like music but Pip is not one of them... hehe

As I've mentioned before, my late Timmy HATED Dionne Warwick. LOL
Not long ago, Sophie sat with me for 30 minutes and watched Anne Murray on YouTube. I will add it's very unusual for her to sit still for that long.

Ann Murray has a wonderful, melodic voice who can sing Country and Gospel. Her voice is on the lower voice female range. She has been one of my favorite singers ever. She has a voice like Karen Carpenter.

I will see if Ricochet likes her.

interesting how music gives parrotlets a reaction like 2-yr. old human babies.
I had 2 screaming babies in the mornings many moons ago. Breakfast couldn't come fast enough---they were so hungry and anxious.
One morning my husband set up a record album of kids songs. As soon as they started crying/screaming, I put the kids record on. They quieted down immediately! I was able to make breakfast without frayed nerves. We enjoyed the songs after breakfast, too.
Our sweet birds are so much like babies!

Sophie already knows she must like Anne Murray if she wants to live in my house!
I have to admire your taste, Dave.
