I wrote this post this morning but I don’t think I ever posted it as I don’t see it anywhere. But if I did and it’s here somewhere twice I’m so sorry! Lol
My Corby is an interesting little guy... I can see now it’s not me he’s afraid of it’s just my hands. Or any hands.
He will not come to my hands right now for a walnut but he will let me feed him through the cage so I’m happy for that. And I’m hoping, in time, he will come to my hand again. Right now, he needs some time to recover.
If I open the door of his cage in, so it forms the little platform, he will sit there by the open door, with me just inches from him and we talk.
. Things need to be on his terms. And that’s ok. I will take all the advice I got here about luring him out with treats and toys and helping him understand if he wants to come out he will be safe.
This morning he did that regurgitating wiggle again. He hasn’t done that in a few weeks. He did it on and off for a full 10 minutes, longer than I ever seen him.
But he did it with his back to me as before he was facing me. Maybe he is dissing me! lol.
I do feel I know him better now. And that s a good place to begin again!
