I do have a travel carrier and a small cage for travel/hospital/around the house.

I actually finally managed to hook up with a local breeder last night and brought home a just weaned turquoise baby boy!

So far things are going really well. He is so outgoing and friendly! I just had him out of the cage for the first time and he was just great. We hung out on the bed for 15 minutes and I offered him all kinds of tidbits. I can tell he's going to be so fun to train!
That is tremendous! Congratulations! Welcome back to Parrothood! Turquoise parrotlets are so pretty. How is he doing today?

You need to make this official by making a formal announcement and post some pictures of your new baby - and let us know his name! Very happy for you!

Oh, you asked about the bird bath! Sorry, about that! There are all kinds of bird baths out there, but this is the one my bird has been using for the last 3 years. What I like about it is you can place it on the outside of the cage if you want. The bowl comes off. When Cleopatra is not using it as a bird bath, I have sometimes used it as a food bowl!

It is entirely up to you if you want to offer your bird a bath everyday or not. You're bird will let you know how often they like having baths. They all have their preferences. Mine likes them every 7- 10 days - so I just offer her one.

Tumi's favorite bath is under the running sink in my hands, so he doesn't use anything except me. His second favorite is his freshly changed water bowl, the colder the better. I've tried an actual bird bath, and he was NOT interested.

Ulendon is on a distinguished road

Our toy order came. Can you spot the bird in his horde?

I moved him into the cage today. We spent most of the day hanging out together.

More perches, the light, bird heater, glass water bottle, and bird bath are on the way!

I still need to figure out what to do on top of the cage.

JackieRTP will become famous soon enough

New toys are always fun! If you choose to use the water bottle, be sure to check it daily to ensure that the water is flowing and that it is not blocked.
