Ohh yes! I WAS torn between a parrotlet and a kakariki - but in the end, the parrotlet "won"
I love the kakariki's too (and they are cheaper and easier to buy than a parrotlet here - but - the red head markings on a lot of the different mutations is not something I especially like. Also, they live 10-15 years on average, and the parrotlet can get to 20 years, which was just another reason to go parrotlet
I did see a female kakariki that was split to blue and looked very similar in colour to the pacific parrotlets. She was stunning - but so was her price tag! ($600). They are stunners, no doubt!
