Does anyone add Apple Cider Vinegar to their parrotlet’s daily drinking water? If so how much and for how long? I’ve heard different opinions on this so I am not sure if I want to add it to Kai’s drinking water or not. Any input appreciated.
I put it in Pips water once every three months for a week. I use one tablespoon per 1 quart/32oz of water and one quart will last the whole week with Pip. I just put it in an old glass bottle that the apple cider vinegar comes in and keep it in the fridge during the week.
I have see videos of people using it everyday but I thought that was a little much every three months for a week is what I do.
Why is it good to do That? Are they missing something in their diet that this will correct? Also, Gracie loves to chew on the shell of sunflower seeds, Bi put will not touch the seed inside! What's Up with that?!
I talked about this with my vet when I first got Micah, and she was against it. There's really no evidence it's helpful, and she was concerned that the taste of it would make him drink less water.
I helps fight bacteria and fungal infections and also helps with yeast infections. There are some vets that do recommend using apple cider vinegar. I can not remember who it was now but even one of our regular members was told to use it and it was successful for them.
