I cannot believe that so much time has passed.... looks like I've been away for a few years. So much has happened. My husbands health and increased responsibility tending to him. I decided to rehome Tiki during this time and that completely broke my heart. However, through it all I have survived and am once again waiting the arrival of my baby parrotlet... starting over from the beginning. He will be coming home to me on 01/16/16 and I cannot wait to start sharing all the stories again. Hoping you are still around!

Hi Jeanne! I got Melody a little slinky, I hope she likes it as much as Ollie! I saw her checking it out but she didn't climb in it yet....she didn't recoil in disgust either so that's a good sign!! :D

Hi, I work at a Parrot Sanctuary, so no I do not bring the birds into my home but go to the sanctuary. Yes we do have large birds and getting bit does happen (not often), but thats part of the job I suppose haha

Hi, Yes, everything is good with me and my feathered friends! My family was here from England in the Summer, I closed down the aviary for breeding and just let my little guys take it easy! They have started to breed again and I have one pair (Nickel & Dime) on eggs and also my pair of Scarlet chested parakeets are sitting tight on a clutch. I lost power/cable/internet for three days after "Sandy" but everything is back to normal and hopefully I will be posting again.
Hope everything is good with you also.

I did not get my canary checked out----we don't have a good avian vet around here. I got him from a pet shop that accidentally sold me a female canary who just wanted to lay eggs and that's why I traded for this male at this same store. He is very cute anyways.

Funny. But aren't they all? I don't mind posting a picture sometime. I'll do my best to do it asap. Unfortunately as Finn grew up his colors dulled a bit. He's still quite colorful though. The computer's working better now, I wonder what made it not work? But it's okay since it works...for now. Lol. I start college next fall. I'm still trying to get done with high school!
