Hehe anything that will get him to not be scared of food that isn't in his special green bowl! I also hold him to my cheek and pretend to eat something and then put it in front of his beak and make yummy sounds. My family thinks I'm crazy.

(I'm sorry I didn't see this until now) Hey! I've been keeping track of your progress with your Bourke and it's really awesome!! I'm really happy that you decided to stick with it and took a look at the links.

I blog about birds and I tend to see situations like yours end in a bird going to the humane society, so I'm very sorry if it came off as stern. You're doing such an awesome job and your birds are such cuties. I know it takes forever to get a bird on track. My p'let took 6 months to warm up to my roommate and that definitely got frustrating at times. I love learning each little bird's distinct personality and exactly what makes them happy. I'd love a Bourkie someday but 2 birds is my limit for an apartment lol. You should keep posting pics and info though because it's great seeing updates! I know this is a p'let forum but I never mind seeing other birds (tbh the other forums don't come close to this one when it comes to info)
