At this time, we ask all members to refrain from discussing their experiences with any breeder, whether it be POSITIVE or NEGATIVE experiences.

Certain breeders have thrown a series of temper tantrums that have resulted in members being harrassed in the forums and through PMs. This is causing an unbelievable amount of strain on moderators because there is only so much we can do.

Until DAVE decides what the forum will do, I will be removing any future threads/posts that discusses any breeders, whether the business is named or not.

We are NOT a customer service forum. We are not in the business of interfering with a person's livelihood. We are here to discuss our pets and get advise.

Your best bet to find a breeder is to use google. Make sure you talk with the breeder and use some common sense.

(I live in OK and found 3 breeders w/in driving distance through google... i'm sure that if OK has breeders, almost all states will have them.)

In order to enforce this rule (for now), each time a member requires me to delete their post b/c they are not following rules, they will receive 1 infraction. After 3 infractions, you will be temporarily banned for 1 week.
If you receive 3 temporary bans, you will permanently banned from the site.

TL,DR:

discussions of breeders (named or not) will result in the following:

1 infraction per deletion
after 3 infractions, 1 week ban.
after 3 1 week bans, permanent ban.

Once Dave decides what to do, we may lift this rule; but until then, I have had enough. The moderators as a collective have had enough.

Keep the content informative and positive.

If we receive proof (CCed PMs) that a member is attacking another member through PMs/e-mails/etc, I will ban them permanently.

If BOTH parties are attacking one another causing the arguement to continually go back and forth, I'll ban both of you.

-----

I may not be as friendly and talkative as the other moderators, but I do stop by (almost daily) to observe, move threads, and delete posts that need to be deleted.

I may not be as quick as the others, but I do stop by, so please feel free to PM. I am marked as invisible btw.

I don't like getting caught in drama, but i sure as heck will put an end to it as quickly as possible.

Thank You! I think this is the best solution for now. I personally come her because I love to read everyone's stories, view pictures, learn about Plets and of course share my love of my own babies :) this is kinda my happy place, and I want to keep it that way :)
Life is too short :)

Yeah, I was a little irritated to receive a PM trying to stir the pot. Best thing you can do? IGNORE IT.

Thank you for bringing the hammer down, Catfish & modteam.

I hate drama unless it's on stage or in the movies. Glad the mods are nipping it in the bud.

Wow, I didn't know that all of this was going on. I'm sure that this post will take care of it. I like the idea of "keeping it positive and informative" -- what a great way to put it.

I agree, this is my happy place. There is enough drama and unhappiness in the world without creating more.
Good Job Mods!!

I'm with all the "in the dark" people. I have no idea what's going on to cause drama, but my rule about posting is always this:

I ask - will my message be helpful? supportive? not make anyone feel like crap? Yes? Post! No? Keep it to myself!!!

We are all entitled to our opinions, but there is a way to share opinions that doesn't tear people down or make them feel bad. We all have so much to learn, and the last thing we want is to lose our mods and our community because people can't be respectful.

So there! :P

Catfish - thanks for taking the bull by the horns and laying down the law! No one should be bullied here or anywhere else. I love coming here and am sorry it's been stressful for some of you recently.
