Does anybody know where I could buy screw-close clips like the ones on this..... http://www.sugar-gliders.com/sleeping-on-trend.htm and this.... http://www.mysafebirdstore.com/product.cgi?group=1885&product=7947
I would like to make some toys and pouches for Jasper and my suggies (pouches only for the suggies) but I do not know where to get them.
If nobody else knows can you suggest something else?
Thank you!

I get mine from the hardware store or some craft stores will also have them. They're called pear links I believe. You can also get them online.

I actually just bought 2 packages of them at Walmart in the hardware section. Found them when I was looking for something else. The brand is Peerless and they are 1/8" and the top of the package says "Quick Link". I found them in the aisle with the screws and bolts and things like that.

I found some in Walmart too, but they would not tell me what type of metal they were or what they were plated with. So I just bought some cheap bird toys at the pet store, removed the clips, and I use the toys for rotations. I figure at least if it comes from a pet store I KNOW it's safe, well, usually. (Really didn't feel like going into Home Depot, the smell in there makes me sick).

I know Peerless makes water faucets and such so I'm assuming it's probably food grade metal, but I have no idea. Did you ask Walmart or the company that makes them?

No. I had really needed them at the moment, and didn't feel like spending time to ask. So I decided to just buy a couple of those really cheap tiny bird toys at one of the pet stores here.

Be careful when you buy those quick links. Not all are safe to use with birds. You either want stainless steel or nickel. Some contain zinc, which is toxic to birds. I buy a lot of my toy parts here: http://www.birdsnestonline.com/ (http://www.birdsnestonline.com/)

Their toy parts are safe and they have great bulk pricing!
