I was going to weigh my bird soon, so, how much grams is a good weight?

How much a parrotlet weighs/how big it is, depends a lot on the parents. If the parents are larger birds, the babies will most likely also be larger. I have 8 parrotlets and their weights range from 25 grams all the way up to 33 grams.

The most accurate weight is taken first thing in the morning, before your bird has eaten. Food will add weight. When I weigh my birds, I want to know how much the bird weighs, nothing else.

Is weighing your bird a good thing to do? If so, how often would you do it just to make sure s/he were eating enough and growing right?

Willow has been consistant at 27 grams since I brought her home.
I weigh my birds once a week, usually on Saturday. It is a good indicator if something is wrong or they get sick, just make sure you weigh them the same time usually in the morning because the weight can fluctuate a gram or two throughout the day.

I agree with Crys12065, weighing often is a good way to catch if there's something wrong asap.
Navi's a female, and from what I've read on here they tend to weigh less than males. She was 26 grams as a little baby and now she's between 28 and 29. It also depends on the type of parrotlet you have... a pacific will have a slightly different healthy weight range from a green rump and etc.

I have a pacific, and he's a boy, so from what i gather a good weight for him is between like 28 and 33?

Bodie is a 12 yr. old male Pacific and he weighs 28-29 in the morning.
