A Christmas Miracle

So we had almost had a total tragedy at our house two nights ago...
Jack our parrotlet loves to sit with my husband when he is home. He will just sit on his stomach while my husband sits at the computer.

So the other night I am watching TV and my husband is at the computer with Jack and he got up to go to the kitchen to get something to drink. He set Jack down right on the desk right in front of the computer and he was back in 2 seconds when he came back Jack was right on the desk and when he sat down... Jack was not on the desk :(

I guess Jack had jumped down on the seat right as he was sitting down and my husband ended up sitting on him :eek: So I hear my husband say "oh no Jack" and the "I just sat on Jack" and I totally freaked out.... He is okay thank god but it could have been alot worse. My poor husband feels terrible.

I'm so sorry to hear that! It must have been terrible for everyone!

I'm terrified of an accident like that...no one sits down, ever, unless Agave is accounted for, for just that reason! She sits on the bed while I get dressed, and if I go to sit down, she actually runs toward where I'm about to sit! These precious little birds can potentially get into such hazardous places!!

OMG - as I was reading this I prayed it turned out well. It indeed is a Holiday miracle. So glad Jack is ok. They are so small and blend in so well it is hard to see them.

it was a horrible thing.I could have cried about it but I didn't want to make my husband feel worse than he already did because we both love this little bird dearly. No one really understands that but the people here :)

We are both so thankful that he is okay he is getting alot of kisses and scritches this holiday season.

i'm so happy jack is okay! last week i was cleaning my birds cage, and when i came in from washing it, he was no where to be found! I totally freaked out just like you did! He wasn't calling back when i said his name, so i thought he got out, but i eventually found him under the bed:D
