Mya laid an egg

[Plato&Mya]

This morning I uncovered Plato and Mya, and discovered an egg in the bottom of the cage... It had a crack in it, so I removed it..
As most of you probably know, they had babies in May, and I removed the nest box, moved the cage (twice) rearranged toys, not overfeeding, giving them 12-13 hours of sleep a night, and YES, they want another family...:o
So, just letting you know (people with pairs).. sometimes you just can't keep them from wanting a family.

Maybe they are like Romeo and Juliet and you can't keep them apart....lol

Thanks Memmey.. that is the only boy from the last clutch..I kept him, and he is such a ham... only 11 weeks old and talking and whistling already.
Guess I'll have the pitter patter of little birdie feet again! What fun!

Okay I'm going to keep hoping its because Mya and Plato knew what they were doing because they are experienced - and I'll pray mine never do.

Please keep us posted on what they do next - if they lay again or what.

I gave them back their nest box, and they have been in in all day, so looks like round 2 for these guys!! :)

The last clutch did great. 4 chicks, 3 girls, one boy. 2 of the girls are living together, and the other female got a young male mate from another breeder..
They are all happy and doing great!
I kept the male..

Oh, and we have an egg!!!
