What perch thickness's are suitable for Parrotlets? Do they use the same size as Budgie/Cockatiels?

It depends on the material used. You should try to vary the thickness of the perches so they don't get bumblefoot. I have a rope perch and use branches from our own apple trees. If the perch isn't too smooth then they have no problem holding on.

I do have some natural tree branches already and will be ordering some rope ones.

Excellent. You should "cook" the branches in the oven at 200F to kill off any microscopic bits that could harm your bird.

Ah there's no way I can get these in an oven, they're very long. They are shop bought ones though for birds so I'd hope that's already been done.

The need perches of varying thicknesses to give their little feetsies some exercise. Also you might get some "Booda" perches -- you can bend and twist them in all sorts of directions, more interesting for them and easier on their feet.

I generally choose prarkeet sized ones, but like everybody said, varying sizes works the best;)

Most of my parrotlets' perches are 1/2" to 5/8" but they also have some as small as 3/8" and as large as 1"
