It's getting cold in the mornings for my little "Duckie", but not cold enough to kick on the heater for the winter.

I have a Patton (Holmes) Model #PUH680 and I can't find any information on it. I fear that it may have some Teflon in it. Does anyone know about the Patton brand...I believe they are now Holmes. I know the heater is less than 2 years old. I used to use it at work. I have looked online, but can't find anything about it...granted I am not very good at "Googling". Any help would be appreciated. :)

If you have the manufacture's information, I would give them a quick call. I tried looking things up like that before and usually it's not listed.

But here's a website about some bird safe heaters: http://www.avianweb.com/heaters.htm#electric

Holmes brand heaters have never had any non-stick coatings in them anywhere. I've been using them, as well as oil filled radiant heaters from quite a number of yrs and I've never had any problems with them. Before I purchased my first Holmes ceramic heater, I called the company to verify that they are safe to use around birds and the answer was yes.

I have this one... http://www.nextag.com/Delonghi-TCH-7090ER-SAFE-785430248/prices-html or one very similar. I like it because it has a built-in thermostat and oscillates.
