Just curious if plets get sick like we do. I've been fighting either allergies, or cold symptoms, just recently, then queasy stomach, & just recently migrane headaches. Tho, she actually seems fine, and doesn't seem to be phased at all, so, I'm happy about this.
Just bought her a bigger cage, and she seems to have alot more room to play around but, she is now trying to raise the little doors, I guess hoping to get out. Tho, since I've ignored her she's been climbing the walls, and playing abit, and now eating. I love seeing her do her own thing.:p
As much as I'd like to leave her at a distance she is quite used to having me at her beckon call. She likes to be out when I'm home so, she's around me quite abit. Hoping she doesn't get whatever bug, I may have. I hate not feeling good. :( Or it may be just stress, too! Alot going on lately!:o
Well, just thought I'd ask!

It is my understanding that we can not pass our colds and stuff to birds. Now bacteria is a whole different matter - that can be passed. Just be sure and wash your hands really well before handling her or any of her food and other item. I always try and sneeze into a tissue and then wash my hand before handling Bodie.
Hope that helps.

Hi I just wanted to point out if she is trying to raise the doors on the cage you may want to secure them with some kind of clip... she will eventually learn to lift them and escape.

Here is a comment about the sliding doors. You might find it interesting.
have both Sprout and Buddy in flight cages with slide up doors.Shortly after I got Sprout I went to my daughters To watch my new grandson and when my husband got home from work Sprout had gotten out of his cage. Now today when I left to watch my grabdson so my daughter could go to a Christmas part I told these two to be good. My husband got home and Buddy was on top of his cage. LOL I don't know what Santa will think of all this....
Now I have a conure in that cage and he went right into trying to open the doors. I have these little plastic clips holding them closed now
