Well if you think he dropped it, try looking on the ground for it. If you can't find it, then swallowing is a possibility and if you feel he should go to the vet, then that would be the best way to go.

Well I'm glad to hear he's acting normal. I'd say wait a couple days and see if he acts strangely. If not, I'd say he's fine. (I'm no expert, but this what I'd do.)
