So I just noticed one of my parrotlets has been having watery poops today. And the solid part is more green than it usually is. I have been improving their diet, and I have noticed that he has just recently started eating the fruits/veggies and sprouts I put in his cage. Could that be the reason? Other than that he seems fine, he's also molting and I just introduced my new parrotlet to him (could it be stress?)

Keep an eye on it, if it is really runny and your parrotlet is not acting normal as in tired all the time, not eating and always puffed up, then get him to a vet.

But, from what I have read in your post, I would say it's the new diet. Fruits and veggies have a high water content in them, so this will result in their poop having more water in it. Also, if he is drinking a lot of water this will happen. The green is also a result of a fruit/veggies diet being introduced.

We were at a bird park in Niagara Falls (I can't remember the type of birds we were feeding), but the nectar that they had been feed 15 min. before our group was let in to feed them, was pooped out on us. It was all liquid with no solid in it. We were wet, but not stained. LOL

Hope this helps.

I had noticed, many months ago now, that Tink's poop had become very watery. There was no reason for this that I could figure (no diet change or anything and she hadn't had a bath that day - sometimes her poops gets watery after a bath) and I started to get concerned... I took her to the vet and it turned out that she had a serious bacterial infection which took almost 9 months to cure.

Having had such an awful experience, I would recommend keeping an eye on your little one. When Tink was sick, she didn't show any signs aside from watery poop.

I was just noticing the same thing about my p'let (which is how i stumbled upon your post!) I also just changed Cabo's diet. I've been integrating many more fruits and veggies, especially right when I noticed his poo was super watery.

Hopefully that's all it is!
