So I put warm water in the blender and put in peas, corn, green beans, carrots, and cucumber (without seeds) and blended it. IT came out a mashey watery paste. I put it into a stainer and pressed down to squeeze the water out... and it became Birdie mash.

Kiwi loves it! Everytime he gets a peice he flyies over to the other side of the cage and eats it. Wipes his beak on a perch and flies accross his cage to get some more.

So here is his feeding schedule...

Morning he get Birdie Bread, after wards he get Veggie Birdie mash, then he gets seeds.... then afterwards he gets Fuity Birdie mash with seeds.

7am-11am : Birdie Bread
11am-1pm : Veggie Mash
1pm- 8pm : Seeds
8pm- 10pm : Seeds and Fruity Mash

So that is my feeding scedule... of course with birdie bread and veggie mash he will get to choose from seed.

~* Do you think that is healthy and good for him to have? OR should i jsut do one big buffet ay 3:00pm : this includes seeds, cut up fruits and veggies, and mash vruit and veggies and then jsut keep birdie bread in the morning?

Okay, forget the birdie mash... He is not eating the mash... he is eating the chunks in the mash!! :( I guess it is okay to experiment. ;) Sorry, I just read the post from "Birdie Bread = Staple?"

Sorry Musicjan... I didnt read that last post you made. Thank goodness I only made enough for one day!

But yeah.... forget the schedule too. What times in the day do you guys serve fruits and veggies???

Keep trying the birdie mash. He just might eat it anyway. How about saving it to put in birdie bread? I serve fruits and vegetables just whenever I get around to it. He gets birdie bread in the morning. The seed stays in all day, and he gets fruits and/or veggies a couple of times a day - more often than that sometimes. I don't stick to a schedule. He has 3 cups in his cage at all times - water, seed, and the 3rd cup is either birdie bread or fresh stuff.

Chipper has a buffet, several times a day. Birdie breads are eaten in the tiki hut and coconut swing. She loves that. I have the long double feeding cups. I keep two or three of those double cups in and switch them out twice a day. I fill them with lots of fresh things. Seed and pellets are always there, but she just eats the other foods.

She loves celery and the leaves on it. Big pieces of carrot, strawberries, other berries, veggie and sweet potato mash, Goldenfeast blend, popcorn, brown rice, pasta, walnuts, Beak Appetit, oatmeal and many other foods.
