i have a parrotlet that i think is a female that is about 8 months old and another boy that is just about 2 months old. i have had them together for about a week and they seemed to be getting alone...they are always snugled up beside each other and i got them both out today and i noticed there was blood on my hands...the female has blood under both of her wings it looks kind of like theyve been chewed on or something but im not sure..she has her wings clipped but the male doesnt...i have them seperated but im wondering what im suppose to do about her wings?? do i need to wash the blood off or just wait til she heals then wash it all of or what do i need to do???

i have been getting them out regularly and haent noticed this before...but i didnt get to get them out yesterday because i didnt get home until that night so some of this could have happened yesterday to.

For me this would be a vet visit for sure to make sure everything's OK! Blood is never a good thing, especially for such small creatures (who can't afford to loose any!). I would definitely get her in to the vet right away.

I hope she's OK!

I agree, I think a visit to the avian vet is in order. You should probably keep them separated for now, just in case the male is injuring her.

Let us know how things work out.
