Sounds like you left them loose when you went out. Maybe the bird flew into something. In any event I would get the bird to an Avian Vet as soon as possible.

yeah, i just came back from the vet.. she said Boba is a little bit skinny.. and have a little respiratory infection which occurs when they're stress.. i guess it must because it's too cold last night..
the vet gave tetracyline caps 250 mg and mixed it w/ a gallon of water..should be good for 10 days to come for them to drink..
poor boba, he wont move.. he's so weak.. i offer him his favorite millets and toast, all he can do is put his open beak on them but cant really pull them off to chew and swallow them.. :(
i really hope he gets better soon.. :((

I am so sorry to hear that Bobba is ill. I am surprised that the vet would advise the administration of drugs through water though, as it can be so difficult to tell if they are drinking enough and often they won't if they can sense something different about the water. Was this an avian specialist?

Is there any way you can get Boba to a bigger city to see a real avian vet? Sometimes that can make all the difference.

tetracycline is a typical med offered to birds with respiratory infections. I work at a petstore and if any of our birds fall ill, our vet says to try that med first.

Glad to hear your little one is doing better!

I also think you should be keeping him warm. Do you have a small aquarium that you could put him in and use a heating pad under it? Maybe use the pad on his cage and cover him or hold him in your hands and keep him warm. Usually an avian vet will put them in an incubator. Hope he gets better you did your best.

I hope Bobba gets better quickly. My prayers are with him and your family. I recently lost my parrotlet and I do not want you to go through what I did. Again, I hope he can drink the medicine to cure him.

Boy I agree

Hope he is better today I would put a heat lamp over his cage where he can get under it for warmth if he wants to. Give him some soft foods/fruits and sprouts until he can eat the seeds again.

I'm happy he's feeling better. Navi recently got sick with a respiratory infection (aspergillosis?) and it was the scariest thing in the world. Good thing you got him to a vet right away!
