Bird adoption/rescue

Would anyone happen to know a parrot adoption/rescue in Fort Lauderdale, Florida? I remember a customer walking into the pet store I work at the other day mentioned it to someone, but unfortunately they left right after and I wasn't able to further inquire. I looked for it online and didn't find anything.
