I bought some white plastic chain link at Lowes. I am not sure how to cut it to make shorter lengths. I know they used a machine of some kind to cut the length I asked for. Does anybody know how to cut those things? Thanks.

Did you buy the plastic connectors too? Our chain was too long also and we just strung it across and attached with the link connectors and let the excess hang down and the birds play with the excess. Oherwise I don't know how to cut it. I hope this helps

I have connectors, but I bought a long length without thinking about how I would cut shorter lengths for the toys I wanted to make.

When I bought plastic links at the bird fair, the lady there cut them with wire cutters, the heavy duty ones. Though the links that I got were small... I don't know how big the ones you got are.

I think I'll have to take mine back to Lowe's and have them cut the links for me. I hope they will do it.

I have a pair of pliers that do a dandy job of cutting the links. I use them all the time for Paulie.
You have to cut one link and that one is then not usable.

I use pruning shears on the plastic links.

I usually use a bolt cutter on those large links but a pair of side cutters work also.
