Is there anything I can do to help Navi with her itchy feet? She's chewing them more than usual, and that on top of the ENDLESS molt can't be at all comfortable.

Have you tried organic Aloe juice in the bath water? This time of year the humidity drops and can cause problems with our birds. I bathe Bodie 6 days per week all year long. Keeps his feet nice and feathers pretty.

She won't bathe, but there is some aloe in the water that I mist her with :)

Try running a humidifier in whatever room the birds live in. This has seemed to help with darcy.

There's an idea. I don't even have one, but I'll go find one!

I got mine for around $30 at Target. It's also cute and frog shaped. I bought a kiddie one.

How often should you clean a humidifier if used only for birds?

I would say the same as a for people...maybe more often.
After all, they have smaller lungs

Parrotlets do preen their feet a lot more then other birds.... Jack is obsessed with preening his feet. It's kinda cute actually. And I've had his feet looked at by a bird expert... and the lady chuckled warmly at me and said his feet look great, and parrotlets are known to be avid feet preeners

I actually break pieces off my aloe plant and rub them on Clover's feet. She hates it but they look so conditionned after.

Oooh smart. The problem is somewhat resolved now that it's summer, but aloe plants are just good to have around.

Just a suggestion.

I would check all the surfaces she's on during the day and make sure there is not something there that might be causing a irritation to her feet. Like a new cleaning product being used on the surfaces or if she has gotten into an area where there is some dust build up, etc.

You know these little ones, if there is something for them to get into, they will.

Thou, I don't know what part of Ontario you are from, we had a very dry winter in Kingston. This was the first winter where my hair had a static cling problem everyday and I was getting electric shocks every time I touched anything (Bart didn't like that at all).

Glad to hear that the summer weather is helping.
