Banana is a YES....safe...pineapple I am not sure of but I think is a yes. I have never heard of not feeding it to birds. Bologna....lol... no it would be to fatty and salty...not to mention all the additives and chemicals in it. Now mind you if he has snuck a nibble of your sandwich when you were not looking it won't kill him...but I would not intentionally give him any.

As for the cage. I clean my cage Mon ,Wed and Fri mornings. I spot wash any place dirty. I change the paper and then use the hand vac to suck any hulls out of the tray before adding new paper. If any place is dirty I spot wash it. I have a feather duster I keep just for the cage and I dust it all down. Clean any poop off of the perches ...wash water dishes and refill . I blow husks off seed/pellet dishes ( or empty if there is nothing good left in them) and refill. I change any toys that I want to swap out and make sure they are still safe. Check everything one more time to make sure all is clean ...spot wash any places I missed and I am done. I have never washed down the whole cage at once but these are only about 1-2 months old . I do keep them very clean tho. I have 2 of the HQ flight cages every one here ( including me) raves about... I love these cages!! I have a budgie in one and a p'let in the other. With only one bird in each cage and cleaning every 2nd day they do not get very dirty to start with.

Meat and other animal protein is not a part of parrots' diets (with very few exceptions) in the wild, and it's thought to be hard on their kidneys for them to eat animal protein. Bologna is a processed meat with chemicals and additives including salt (added salt is never good) and should not be given to parrots at all.

For more information on diet and appropriate food to feed, please read the diet sticky posts, and other threads in the diet forum.

Ditto for the above mentions of food :) As for the cage cleaning, once a week. Spot cleaning inbetween if I feel the need.
