It appears my new "male" Blue decided to change sexes during transport and become a female. What do you guys think?

I am not an expert. I only have one green pacific parrotlet but it sure is colored like a girl. I didn't know there were magic transports out there

Are you going to keep her? She sure is pretty! How old is she? Looks like a sweet female to me!

It may sound cold and heartless, but no. I am not keeping her. I had purchased a male with the intent of pairing him up with one of my single females here. She is 14 months old, parent raised and hadn't been handled much at all really.

No, I understand completely -- you want and paid for a male. Will you send her back? I was just wondering because maybe one of our forum members might be interested. Some are having a hard time finding a Parrotlet.

Hope you get your male okay and that this little female, if she goes back to the breeder, has a safe trip!

mmm, thats science at its best !

Maybe the breeder is one of the many male parrotlet owners on youtube that think their bird is a female. I have watched about 3-4 vids now where th owners are going on and on calling a male by a female name and using "she" and "her", funny.

Sending her back ? Or are you going to keep her. She IS beautiful....

Does she bite? You are wearing gloves???

Yeah she bites and HARD! LOL I am meeting him Saturday morning to take her back and get a refund. I really, really don't need another female around here. I have two I have rehabbed and I am attempting to adopt out as it is.

Really? Do we have a place on here to list adoptions? Just curious because I have two females I have been working with that are ready to be adopted out. :)

Yes you can post Parrotlets for adoption here. Check the Parrotlet Talk forum and please read the sticky on adoptions first. Good luck finding good homes for your two!

I would agree female too.

I would also say that I've posted vids of Jinx on youtube and I've got multiple comments about her really being a him! Which I would disagree with, since she's laid eggs in the past and has been DNA tested female. Anyway, some girls do look like hims... but that one definitely does not look like a him!
