I just wanted to share that I added some braided fleece rope toys to Burdy's cage and she loves them. She looks like she is tight rope walking in her cage.
I just took strips of fleece and tied them together and braided them tied the other end cut fringes with the ends and used lanyard clips to attach them to the sides of the cage. You can zig zag them all over and they cost almost nothing to make.

These are great ideas! Keep a close eye on the flannel though as it is prone to threading and parrotlet toes get caught so easy and they don't take long before they get desperate and start chewing their toys/legs out :(

I will be using fleece as it is the safest with no threads. I also braided it very tight so legs could not slip though. Thank you for the tip on regular fabric! I am also going to add some play items to the next one I make. Rattles, bells, beads wooden things and smaller hanging rope toys and things like that. It will make a row of hanging things for her to play with!
She seems to like to climb up and down on it. And you can toss them in the washer for cleaning.

So, I made one, and Froot loop is afraid of it! (SHOCKER!....not at all....) He is afraid of everything new, but I'm sure he will come around to it. Even better idea to add some bells and toys to it. too cute. thanks again :)
