Here's Ellie in her new sleeping spot. I had rearranged the cage today and I put her little cozy corner thing at the top on the perch she sleeps on. Previously she completely ignored the cozy corner, but after rearranging she stepped inside and went to sleep!

Also, here's a picture of her rearranged cage with the extra toys and most of the extra perches (and her cuddled up in her new sleep spot). I still have two rope perches to put in, and may buy one more. I'm returning all the Manzanita perches I bought because she slips right off of them and falls to the bottom of the cage. They're too slippery! Plus they just don't fit right in the cage. I still may do some rearranging and I may re-add an older Manzanita perch that she had in her cage before that isn't too slippery, but so far she seems pretty happy this way. I do have some smaller toys to put in, as well, but I want to wait until I'm sure she's comfortable like it is.

How sweet...looks like you got it right. Sometime it takes a few trial and error moves before they settle in and get that "now that's what I call comfy" look.
I put Paulie's long perch down 2 bars to give him more "wiggle room" and he looked at me like I tried to kill him! Today he seems to have figured out that it's not so bad

That’s adorable!! – I think Chipper [Sally’s bird] is going to have a run for her money on ‘who is the most spoiled’ :D

LOL! All our pets are spoiled rotton. Our two dogs have more toys than I do, and I love stuff!

I need to get a picture of her hanging upside-down off the cage bars eating from one of her new food bowls. She looks so goofy. And the other day I saw her in her orbiter. I'm really glad she's starting to make progress and feel more comfortable in her cage.

Great setup!

I like the cozy corner!

Regards,

Art S.

PS. Memmey, since my birds live in a McMansion in New Jersey, I think that makes them Sopranos (suits their personalities too :D).

Don't you love that cage! I just love the creamy color. You have a great set up. Yes, it takes a while to see what works with perches, etc. I have mostly rope perches. They are so easy to cling to and soft on the feet.

In the 2nd pic. you can see two play area near the bottom of the cage and the fat wood perch (background) and one of two grooming perches. Each has a toy. She can sit and play. She treats each bell with each toy differently, so funny. I have play stations all over, all the way down.

Your toys, swings and cozy corner are great! Ellie is very happy I know!
