I want to make one of these foraging wreaths...it looks like a lot of fun for the birdies...lol My question is how can you tell if a wreath is untreated or not at the craft or department stores? Is there anything specific to look for? Thanks for any tips.

That's a fun idea for a toy! Look for wreaths that are natural - not shiny as in coated with varnish or sealer. I would rinse well and preferably dry in the sun before making the toy.

That is one very cool 'entertainment center'.....I'm going to save my grape vine prunings this fall. That way I know they won't be treated. Jeeze! I would have never thought that one up!

I dunno... when I first saw the photo the first thing that popped into my mind was how hard it would be to clean if they pooped all over in it...

I find with budgie and p'let poops if you let them dry they will flick right off. I don't know about other birds as I only have a budgie and a p'let.

I'm definitely looking into making one of these. Thanks for the idea!! I bet you could power wash it to get the poopers off.
