I'm curious..?

So, every now and then, Edy would yawn really weird, with her head bobbing up and down.. hard to explain, but I finally figured it out, she looked like she was regurgitating. Now I'm pretty sure that's what it is, cuz i just saw her do it and then suddenly she had stuff in her mouth that she was munching on. Just wondering if that's normal/ok?

What is the context that she is doing this?

Did she just finish eating?
Sometimes Callie will yawn and do a funny head bob a few moments after she's done eating. I have read that this is to straighten everything out in her crop. I know it's nothing more then this.. as she literally will chew some food, and 30 seconds later, while still near her dish, yawn and shake her head as if swallowing and adjusting things.


Is she with you and doing this to you?

If so you are witnessing the famous parrotlet wiggleneck. These guys do this to the bird or person or toy that they have chosen as their mate. lol. Youtube parrotlet wiggleneck for some funny videos. And, they do regurgitate a bit of food. Jack did this to me a few times, but now does it to Callie. They are my little love birds. lol

Hmm, yea, I suppose its pretty similar to that, hard to tell, I'd have to see Edy do it again, she doesn't always do it, just sometimes, its possible that she had eaten somewhat recently, but it wasn't right at her dish or anything, she was playing with a couple toys on the table beside me at the time. But I see no problem with her afterwards, so I'm not concerned.. just curious :)
