Can anyone tell me if the parrotlets need to be misted or sprayed. If so, how often?

I've never done this. Did you try giving your parrotlet just a regular bath? As long as it's the correct temperature, I can't really see any harm in doing this. Just be sure not to spray the bird directly. Try spraying the water up a little bit and having it rain down. (Be sure you're misting and not using a stream.)

I take Emmi into the shower with me whenever I feel like it's warm enough in the apartment for her not to get a chill while drying. She loves showering.. and of course it gives her an excuse to preen through her feathers afterwards.

I mist Baby Blue almost everyday. I don't think he likes it too much, but he seems to tolerate it. I have a little ledge on the bottom of my bathroom mirror and he loves it. I spray him there every time so he knows that if I put him there..the spay is coming. I would like to get a shower perch and see what he thinks of that, but I haven't gotten to it yet.
