I recently got 2 pairs of parrotlets. The cages are the right size and the nest box's are on the cage. We have had them for 2 weeks. How long before they start to investigate the nest box? Any advice of what I can do will help.
It really depends on their age. If they're too young they probably won't breed until they reach the right age.

I was told they are little over a year old. They weren't paired when I got them I had to pair them. Yes they are male & female.
My male & female have been together 13 months. He is 3 years old & she is 2 years old. She would never go near the nest box, so we were suprised when last month we found her sitting on an egg. We now have 7 healthy little chicks.
2 weeks is not a long time, unless you are a breeder and need results fast (in which case you should have purchased a proven pair) give them some time. I am of course assumeing they cuddle, clean each other, have mated, etc. If not, they are not a pair, but cage mates.

I have waited until 18-36 months on some of my pairs. Most went to nest right away with eggs when I waited 24 months.
