Okay, I've been busy with school and when I don't understand something I'm reading I tend to just do a raspberry, or what some people call the fart noise.

Well.... Gelato who is about 11 weeks old, is now making that noise. I didn't think birds would mimic at such a young age.

I'm sitting here doing my clinical nutrition homework when I hear this pffffftttttttt come from my shoulder, so I copy him, and once again I hear pppfffffffffftttttttttttt.

so my parrolet now farts. how exciting -_-;
My quaker says yahooooo banana or hello, and the parrotlet farts.

that's what I thought. But I swear, i hear a pfffffftttt coming from here on occasion, mostly when I'm busy and not paying attention to him. He did a couple more times

I really didn't think they could mimic this young....

"Raspberries" are a favorite of budgies too. Our 9 yr old budgie, who died in '05, did them so well you could smell 'em!
Paulie does them too, but he would rather call me "stinky" everytime I pass his cage!

They are just like kids...even when you think they aren't listening...guess what?
We don't even say "shut up" in our house. We say "stop". Thus Paulie says "stop, stop stop" with much feeling! It's so cute

I just assumed he wouldn't mimic this young, I guess I was wrong..... I do watch my mouth though... Especially with the quaker parrot. He learned banana from me, because when I get mad at him, I call him a silly green banana or I just call him banana....

So now he goes around angrily saying BANANA! YAHOOOOO BANANA! (i think he got yahoo from the TV or something, I never say yahoo
)
