So i'm part of the lineolatedparakeet.net forum, and there is a thread discussing how some male linnies have a tendancy to rub up against and hump perches, toys, etc.

Can I expect this kind of behaviour from Jack once he matures?

Has anyone experienced any odd behaviours with their Parrotlets?

Cello is a mature male, and I haven't seen any signs yet. I think they're all different, so it's hard to say what to expect with your Jack.

I used to have a male budgie that would get one foot on the cage rungs and one on his perch...Then he went to town rubbing on the perch. I had no idea at first what he was doing till I looked at his face and I was flabbergasted...lol. OMG he's doing WHAT??!!!...lol I moved the perch so he couldn't reach and all was fine after that.

My old budgie used to rub up on our foots, but i've never seen or heard of many p'lets doing it. i think it's more common in lovies, budgies, and linnies.

I used to have a budgie and he had this one toy that he loved a little too much... It was just that particular toy he got amours with, so when I removed it, he was fine.

We had a budgie that got, um, overly excited about a lot of things. LOL.
