View Full Version : Still Screaming

We were starting to make a little progress about my little bird screaming, but now I don't think it was what I thought it was.

Before I thought it was like his desperate plea for millet (since I was weaning him off of it at the time) now I'm not so sure. I give him a small piece of millet once in the morning, once after school, and once at night.
I take him out of his cage, play with him allll the time.
But throughout this he is still screaming. He seems perfectly healthy elsewise. Sometimes he screams while he is drinking (which sounds kind of funny) or when his head in shoved into his feed bowl.
I really am not sure what the cause of this is.
He loves to sit on my shoulder and scream in my ear, but it's starting to give me a terrible headache.

I'm really not sure what to do.
And right now as I write this to you, he is happily playing with a plastic spoon >.>
Any suggestions as to what could be wrong? Or maybe ways to stop him?
Do you think it could just be his call for attention? or maybe just an enjoyable habit he has?
I'm really worried there is something wrong... but now he seems absolutely fine.

Sigh... birds these days

Is it screaming or loud talking.

I get worried if my boy is quiet or if my girl is loud :) .

I have a very quiet girl. Not sure. Just make sure the cage is very large so he can jump and fly, wonderful toys, playgyms, lots of time with you, lots of good foods and treats, 12 hours of quiet sleep... Not sure otherwise.

Umm... he is about... 12 weeks old I think?
He does have his quiet time. I don't know if it is screaming or just really vocal. It sure does sound like screaming to me... I'll try to get a recording or something.

Azale I bet that is little baby talking and screaming. Talk to him and try to divert his attention, give him a new toy or something to busy him...just like with a little baby. It won't hurt to try.
