5 month or 9 weeks

:o I was wondering what any might think about buying a parrotlet that's 5 months old compared to a 9 week old one. I'm told that the 5 month one
doesn't nip, loves being stratched but, doesn't know step up. And of course the 9 week one doesn't know anything much yet.

Well if the 5-month old already knows all of that, I'm sure he/she can learn to step up easily. Which one do you feel is more attached to you (or do you feel would become more easily attached)?

Sounds like the five month old is friendly enough. Step ups are easy enough. I taught my baby birds to step up by the time they were 6 weeks. I find it a bit odd that the older one doesn't step up, but is friendly? How do they hold him? Anyways...I agree with Dave, spend a few minutes with both of them, holding, rubbing, talking & see which one feels right to you.
