Teak is doing something I haven't seen other birds do. When he's sitting on my chest he opens, but does not unfold, his wings. So he only pivots out the humeral joint. If I had to guess I'd say he was trying to make himself look bigger. Or perhaps he's showing off the blue spot on his rump?

Has anyone else seen this?

I wouldn't be too concerned. Jack often stretches his wings. I think it's to cool themselves and just shake out some of the dust in their wings

Pickles

Pickles does it a lot too. Especially when she just wakes up or after a long cuddle :)

Kiwi quickly jolts the upper part of his wings out when he's excited. Mostly when he's running down my leg or acting goofy though.

Mine do this when they're greeting me. :)

Cello does this too - perhaps it's a half stretch?!

It does seem to be a half strech and seems to be a p'let thing! Saba never does does this, but it's nice to hear others have seen this and that it isn't 'aaaa! Go away! I'm big! Don't mess with me!!' Giggle

Kiwi does that all the time too and he makes a different kind of chirp when he does it. He usually does it when he's greeting me also.

Cosmo does it-not Py-it's part of his little "bow" when I come in...it's so cute...like a little butler :-)

Cello is male, and he often does it when I walk up to the cage and talk to him or reach in for him. It seems like a happy move.
