I have lost my list of forbidden foods. Are bananas OK? A bird rescue person told me lettuce is a big no no, and I thought I read it was OK....so now I'm paranoid.:confused: Thanks MIMI
Bananas are okay. Lettuce is okay to give your little guy as well. You should give him/her romaine. Iceburg has little nutritional value.
Don't over do it on the greens though because they can get diarrhea.

Yes, I found those lists in "Parrotlets Articles", right after I posted the queston:o When I gave Patter a chunk of banana, she stayed on the other side of the cage...has never done that before, usually she runs right over for whatever I offer. Guess the banana looked scarey, but when I got home from work she had eaten about half, so appears she likes it. Such a strange reaction though. MIMI
